Plans
Is Pixelizer free to try?Yes. Guests can open the editor with one local project. Create a free Pixel Explorer account to save up to 10 projects in the cloud.
What does Pixel Enthusiast include?Cloud sync across devices, premium styled looks, custom looks you create in the editor, and larger exports up to 8192 px on the longest side (including 4096 px). Priced at 3.99 USD per month or 39.99 USD per year.
Can I get a refund?Refund and cancellation terms are in the Terms of Service.
Does Pixelizer work on mobile?The studio is built for modern desktop browsers. Phones may load the site, but the editor layout is optimized for larger screens.
Export
Do exports include a watermark?No. PNG and JPG exports never add a watermark. You may optionally enable a Made with Pixelizer badge when sharing, and it is off by default.
What export sizes are available?Free accounts export up to 1080 px on the longest side. Pixel Enthusiast unlocks exports up to 4096 px and 8192 px.
Looks
Which styled looks are free?Auto, Game Boy, and Ink Wash are included on the free plan.
Which styled looks need Pixel Enthusiast?Premium looks include CGA, EGA, Commodore 64, 8-bit Console, Ember, Paper, Dusk, Night, Blush, Tide, Canopy, Letterpress, and MSX1.
Which quantization algorithms can I pick?Median Cut, K-Means, NeuQuant, and Octree. Each behaves differently with edges, gradients, and limited palettes.
How many colors can I use?You can target between 2 and 256 colors depending on your source and look.
What are Soft and Crisp edges?Soft edges blend cell colors for a smoother read. Crisp edges keep the dominant color per cell for a harder tile look. Despeckle can remove isolated stray pixels after quantization.
Privacy
Where is my image processed?Quantization runs in your browser. Cloud sync stores project data for signed-in users as described in the Privacy Policy.
Are my photos used to train AI?Pixelizer quantizes the images you import for your projects. We do not describe using your uploads to train third-party AI models in our Privacy Policy.
