Pixelizer (“we”, “our”, or “us”), developed by Benjamin de Pourquery, acts as the data controller for personal data collected through our SaaS image processing service. As the data controller, we determine the purposes and means of processing your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our image pixelization service, including our website, applications, and related services.

When you create an account using Google OAuth, we collect your email address and basic authentication details provided by Google. We do not store your Google password or access your other Google services beyond authentication.
We collect and process images that you upload to our service for pixelization. This includes:
• Original images uploaded for processing • Processed pixel art results • Project data including parameter settings and sketches • Gallery metadata and organization preferences
For Premium subscriptions, we collect payment information necessary for processing transactions via Stripe and managing subscriptions via RevenueCat. We do not store complete payment details on our servers; this information is securely handled by our payment processors.
We automatically collect technical information about your use of our service, including:
• Device information (browser type, operating system) • Usage statistics (features used, processing time) • Performance metrics for service improvement • Error logs for troubleshooting purposes
We process your personal data on the following legal bases under GDPR:
We process your personal data to fulfill our contractual obligations when you use our image processing services and subscription features. This includes processing your images, managing your account, and providing customer support.
We may process certain data based on our legitimate business interests, including improving our services, preventing fraud, ensuring network security, and analyzing usage patterns. This processing only occurs when our interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms.
Where required by law, we process your personal data based on your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time by contacting us.
We process and retain billing information to comply with applicable tax, financial, and legal regulations in France and the European Union.
We use your personal information for the following purposes:

These processors are contractually bound to process data only on our documented instructions, implement appropriate security measures, and assist us in meeting our GDPR obligations. Our data processing agreements include Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We only share data as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.
Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), particularly the United States, where our cloud service providers Firebase, Stripe, and RevenueCat are based.
When transferring your data outside the EEA, we implement appropriate safeguards in accordance with GDPR requirements, including:

We maintain different retention periods based on data type and legal requirements:
Financial and billing records are retained for 7 years after your last transaction to comply with applicable tax and financial regulations in France and the EU.
Images uploaded for processing are stored only as long as needed to provide the service. Temporary processing images are deleted immediately after processing completion. Images saved in your gallery are retained until you delete them or close your account.
Account information is retained for as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, including:
• Encryption: Data encrypted during transmission and storage • Access Controls: Strict access limitations on a need-to-know basis • Security Monitoring: Regular testing and evaluation of security measures • Incident Response: Procedures to address security incidents promptly • Staff Training: Regular data protection and security training for our team

We use essential cookies required for the proper functioning of our service, including authentication cookies and user session management.

You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. However, disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of our service.

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
For users between 13 and 18 years of age, we recommend obtaining parental consent before using our service, particularly for subscription features.
